We are looking for a UX Researcher to explore, learn and share insights leading us to create human-centric products.

What are the skills and experience needed to do the job successfully?

  • Demonstrable knowledge, experience in and passion for user centered design practices.
  • Be able to design, facilitate and analyse a wide range of qualitative and quantitative user research methods, along with a strong understanding of strengths and limitations of different research methods.
  • Ability to present user research findings in a wide variety of formats and contexts.
  • Be able to introduce and share user research practices through Codacy.
  • Be able to carry research within an agile development environment
  • Be autonomous. You'll take full ownership of your work, and you take the responsibility for every last detail, every step of the way. You have the ability to align multiple stakeholders and consider all feedback critically. 
  • You care about the impact of your work. You have experience driving how your insights are applied and using data to measure the impact of your findings.
  • Experience in Product Design, from problem definition, to supporting implementation with Development teams, and closing feedback cycles after launch.
  • Understanding of usability principles, and that usability is more important than aesthetics.
  • Experience with different research techniques to gather user feedback, both qualitative and quantitative, to inform design decisions. 
  • Be autonomous. You'll take full ownership of your work, and you take the responsibility for every last detail, every step of the way. You have the ability to align multiple stakeholders and consider all feedback critically. 

 

You will be responsible for

  • Help answering key questions by designing and conducting user research activities, both qualitative and qualitative;
  • Work closely within a multidisciplinary team, including design, product and engineers to create and implement design choices that improve user experience;
  • Share learnings with the team and organization, bringing empathic understanding of our users to the organization; 
  • Create the foundation for good user research in Codacy;
  • Grow the expertise. 

 

What will be your day-to-day?

  • Apply qualitative and quantitative research methods to work bets to validate them; 
  • Be our user's voice internally. By becoming the expert on who they are, how they use our products and what their needs are. 
  • Drive the team through user insights: lead research activities through all stages, identifying, planning, conducting, analyzing, and reporting your findings.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative research methods to apply to research questions.
  • Support teams to generate research questions and hypothesis;
  • Give and ask for feedback from other designers promoting continuous improvement;
