Product Data Analyst

We are looking for a Product Data Analyst who can help us take our data oriented mindset to the next level by continuously improving the way we use data in our decision making process across the organisation. The Data Analyst will be part of a Business Intelligence team working with a wide range of teams from Product to Customer Success among others with the goal of helping them find, use and share insights while building a better product for our customers.

What will be your day to day

  • Be a key player in our journey to create a metrics-driven cadence at Codacy
  • Develop an understanding of Codacy business and the data structures behind product and  business metrics
  • Establish best practices around data model governance, data sharing, and scalable reporting (by creating self-serve models) in partnership with product and business teams
  • Partner with our engineers to instrument new pages and features to ensure the capture of relevant data
  • Build strong cross functional partnerships and ensure reporting consistency across the organisation
  • Continuously identify opportunities for automation and process/metrics improvement
  • Run cross functional analyses that unlock the insights that propel Codacy forward

Requirements

  • Ideally a degree in quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research or other related field
  • 3+ years of experience doing quantitative analysis; experience in software industry (and SaaS) would be a plus
  • Familiarity with product analytics and tools (e.g. Mixpanel)
  • Comfortable managing large datasets using relational databases and automating workflows (e.g., cleaning and manipulating data from multiple sources)
  • Strong problem-solving ability, high attention to detail and rigor, can-do attitude and desire to learn
  • Strong cross-functional and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate technical content to general audiences
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
