Account Executive

We are looking for an Account Executive who will seek out and engage prospective customers to sell our market leading solution. We have a flat organisational structure so the Sales team reports directly to one of the co-founders. Being part of this team will mean you work closely with a broad range of industries, initially focusing on the Mid-Market and SMB segment. Using the information you obtain, you will need to coordinate cross-functionally across the company in order to drive a number of key indicators, ultimately leading to an increase in acquisition and top ARR of the business.

What will be your day to day?

  • Demonstrate, promote, and sell Codacy and Pulse Strategically present functionality and key value propositions to prospective customers.
  • Develop and foster relationships - Maintain close communications with prospects to close sales and promote customer retention.
  • Meet and exceed targets - Achieve monthly and quarterly individual and team goals for new customer acquisition.
  • Track progress and results - Disciplined recording of prospect interactions and tracking of goal attainment in CRM system.
  • Research and understand target market Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and Codacy’s overall market opportunity.

What are the skills and experience needed to do the job successfully?

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written;
  • Prior experience in Sales or equivalent experience such as Customer Success or similar;
  • Experience working with a technical and/or SaaS product;
  • Our customers include developers, Engineering Managers, CTOs and non-technical stakeholders (among others), therefore it is critical that you can:
    • Understand and convey technical information, adapting your approach depending on your audience;
    • Build relationships with a wide variety of people and seniorities.
  • Some level of industry knowledge and their key business processes (or a high propensity to learn);
  • Be able to solve complex problems with incomplete information;
  • Independent thinker with the ability to recognise where processes can be improved and who to collaborate with to improve them.


  • 1-2 years experience selling a product or service
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Excellent ability to manage and build relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed acquisition goals
  • Advanced skills in communicating, selling and negotiating
  • Unrelenting drive to understand and meet prospective customer needs
  • Familiarity with Hubspot or other similar CRM systems (like Salesforce)
